The area lies below the village of <strong>Sfentouri<\/strong>, the southernmost settlement of the island, which was originally established as a winter refuge for local shepherds.<\/p>\n\n<p>These bays are typical examples of the many small natural inlets of Aegina that have long served as <strong>informal anchorages for small craft and fishing boats<\/strong>. Their natural protection from the northern winds makes them particularly appealing to sailors navigating the Saronic Gulf.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sights<\/h3>\n\n<p><strong>Klima Bay<\/strong><br\/>Klima Bay has long been a favourite among yachts cruising the Saronic. Its wide sandy beach and good protection from northerly winds make it one of the most pleasant stops on the southeastern coast of Aegina. In recent years the beach has been partly organised with sun umbrellas and a beach bar, adding a touch of liveliness to the area.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Mazioti Bay \u2013 \u201cMikra Kolpakia\u201d<\/strong><br\/>Immediately to the west lies Mazioti Bay, locally known as \u201cMikra Kolpakia\u201d (Small Coves). Slightly smaller but very similar in character to Klima, it offers good shelter from the north winds and a seabed of sand mixed with weed.
